KVKK Information Notice

Under Article 10 of Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), we summarize why, on what legal basis and how we process your personal data.

§ 01Data Controller

GeoDog is the data controller for your personal data. For any request about personal data, write to privacy@geodog.co. Full details are in the Privacy Policy; this notice is its summary under KVKK.

§ 02Categories of Personal Data

  • Identity: first and last name.
  • Contact: e-mail address and messages you send through the contact form.
  • Customer transactions: projects, tracked brands and keywords, query results, subscription plan and period.
  • Transaction security: session records, shortened values derived from IP addresses and limited records kept to prevent abuse.
  • Marketing: newsletter preferences, only with your explicit consent.

§ 03Purposes of Processing

  • Providing the service and managing your account and analyses.
  • Ensuring fair use of the free analysis and preventing fraud and abuse.
  • Billing and meeting obligations arising from legislation.
  • Answering support requests and sending essential service notices.
  • Sending newsletters and marketing e-mails if you have consented.

§ 04Legal Bases

  • Establishing or performing a contract (KVKK Art. 5/2-c).
  • Complying with the controller’s legal obligations (KVKK Art. 5/2-ç).
  • Legitimate interest, provided it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (KVKK Art. 5/2-f).
  • Explicit consent for marketing communication (KVKK Art. 5/1).

§ 05How Data Is Collected

Your personal data is collected electronically, by automated or partly automated means: through forms on the website and app, records created while you use your account, and essential cookies. Analytics cookies only run if you consent.

§ 06Transfers

To provide the service, your data is transferred to our hosting, database, e-mail, payment and AI-analysis providers, limited to their tasks. The list of providers and the safeguards for transfers abroad are in the Privacy Policy.

AI providers only receive the query text needed for the analysis; never your name, e-mail address or account details. Public authorities receive information only where the law requires it.

§ 07Your Rights Under KVKK Art. 11

  • Learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, request information about it.
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used accordingly.
  • Know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom data is transferred.
  • Ask for incomplete or inaccurate data to be corrected, for deletion or destruction under KVKK Art. 7, and for these actions to be notified to third parties that received the data.
  • Object to an outcome against you that results solely from automated analysis of the processed data.
  • Claim compensation if you suffer damage from unlawful processing.

§ 08Making a Request

To exercise your rights, send your request to privacy@geodog.co from the e-mail address registered to your account. Requests are resolved free of charge within 30 days at the latest; if the action involves an additional cost, the fee set by the Personal Data Protection Board may apply.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board.
